The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 12 new complaints this past week. County Attorney Kirsten Pabst says things got even busier on Friday because they were given five additional cases.

“Seven of the 12 that we filed fall into the violent crime category and a whole handful of those are intimate partner violence,” Pabst said. “There was a partner family member assault strangulation case. In that particular case, the neighbor heard some commotion and called 911, thankfully. We always appreciate that.”

Pabst says if you see something, say something, if you hear something, call it in, because you could very likely be saving a life. The violent crimes did not stop there.

“We charged an assault,” Pabst said. “The defendant allegedly broke a camper door down and threatened his neighbor with an ax handle. There was an additional assault with a weapon in another case. Two new sexual intercourse without consent cases were filed this week. One involved a child victim and the other involved an adult victim.”

In addition to those crimes, there was a child endangerment case, a felony DUI, a burglary, and a felony drug case.
