The American Legion Post 101 will be holding its 30th consecutive veteran’s day activities today at 11am at the Missoula County Courthouse lawn. There will be a wreath laying ceremony at the Doughboy statue, the lighting of the torch and Federal District Judge Donald Malloy, a veteran of the U.S. Navy will be the primary guest speaker. Others speakers include Congressman Denny Rehberg, Mayor John Engen, Missoula County Commissioner Jean Curtis and from Post 101 Dan Gallagher. The event will last approximately one hour. Following the ceremony Post 101 will be serving chipped beef on toast, also known as ‘SOS’, at the Old Post Pub on West Spruce  free of charge to all veterans and others attending the ceremony.
