University of Montana Vice President Bob Duringer Passes Away [AUDIO]
University of Montana President Royce Engstrom announced the passing of Vice President Robert A. Duringer on Wednesday. The President's Office sent out a message to the campus community Thursday morning. The text follows.

I am deeply sorry to inform you that Robert A. Duringer, Vice President for Administration and Finance, passed away yesterday.
Bob served The University of Montana for twelve years and was planning to retire at the end of December. Bob served in the U. S. Army, reaching the rank of Colonel. He worked at the West Point Academy, Oregon State University and the University of Maine prior to coming to The University of Montana in 2000. During his time at UM, Bob was responsible for overseeing tremendous growth of the campus infrastructure as well as effectively overseeing the Adams Center, Business Services, Facilities Services, Human Resource Services, the Montana Island Lodge, Public Safety and the Office of Planning, Budget, and Analysis.
He was tremendously proud of his work, his colleagues, and his many contributions to the University. Bob's wife, Jan Duringer, works at the University in the Adams Center. Please express your condolences to her and to one another.
