Turning new discoveries into companies and products takes a slightly different form at Rivertop Renewables.  Building on the pioneering work of Dr. Donald Kiely, this firm has developed around the idea of creating an abundant and economical supply of green chemicals and bioproducts.

The process essentially involves converting renewable sugars into biodegradable chemicals that do work once done by chemicals with harmful and long-lasting effects.  Jere Kolstad, President of Rivertop Renewables, traces the path from university laboratory to private sector product.

Replacing petrochemical building blocks with renewable chemicals, and transforming these into bioproducts requires creativity and commitment. It’s a challenge we’re happy to take, in furthering a vision Rivertop Renewables calls Progressive Chemistry.
