UM Foundation Fund Raising Deadline Nears [AUDIO]

The University of Montana's fund-raising arm , the UM Foundation, is nearing it's June 30th deadline for this fiscal year. The Foundation reaches out to thousands of UM Alumni asking in a variety of ways to contribute to help fund scholarships and endowments that assist students with their tuition and continue a tradition of excellence at the University.

Vice President of Strategic Communications and Marketing for the Foundation, Beth Hammock, says despite the difficult year the University has endured, fund-raising continues. She says generous donors continue to support the University as in years past. Because the fiscal year ends on June 30th, Hammock says the final numbers for the year won't be released until August or September. Comments from Ms. Hammock are below.
