Trespasser Threatens Missoula Warming Shelter Staff
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On February 9, 2025, Missoula Police Department Officers were dispatched to the Johnson Street Warming Shelter for a report of a trespasser threatening staff. An officer arrived and spoke with an employee of the shelter. The employee advised that 25-year-old Jaycee Liming asked the shelter to call an ambulance for her. She stated they would. Then Liming attempted to get into the shelter.
The employee put her arm up and told Liming she was not allowed inside. Liming walked into her arm. Then the employee retreated to behind the counter in the shelter. The employee advised she has a history with Liming and knows Liming can be violent. Then the employee heard Liming threaten another employee, but was unsure what was specifically said.
The officer contacted another employee who said Liming threatened her stating, “You’re going to get beat up b***h when you leave work.” She said she was scared after the statement was made and was worried of being attacked by Liming. The employee said she also has a history with Liming and felt Liming would act on the threat.
The officer located Liming in a vehicle in the warming shelter parking lot. The officer had Liming exit the vehicle and arrested her. Liming was mirandized and spoke with the officer. Liming said she knew she was trespassed and not allowed on the property, but she wanted staff to call an ambulance. Liming claimed she is not a violent person and said she was pushed out of the shelter by a female with short hair. Liming also denied making threats to staff.
