The University of Montana was just named one of the best colleges for 2019. Director of Communications Paula Short says UM made the Princeton Review’s list of top four-year colleges in North America.

“UM is a regular on the list, but we are always excited to be included in a group of distinguished universities across the nation,” Short said. “We are particularly thrilled because the rankings and being on this list are based on student driven input. That is really an honor that our students have responded to surveys in a way that puts us in that group.”

The annual Princeton Review ranking includes detailed profiles of each school and ratings in a variety of areas, such as academics, campus life, tuition and financial aid. According to Short, both parents and students look at the rankings to help make a decision on where to attend school.

“They are looking at a lot of different information and data so I feel like being on this list is really an affirmation that students are having a great experience at UM,” Short said. “That truly is our number one focus and it is the reason we are here. We want to provide a great experience to help our students reach their individual goals and that they persist to graduation and go on to have great careers.”

In addition to making “The Best 384 Colleges” list, UM also was among the 129 schools selected for the western division of the Princeton Review’s “Best Regional Colleges.”
