If you could use a festival with an old-timey mountain feel and traditional bluegrass music, we have the spot for you!

My good friend Steve Taft is a member of the band Lochwood, one of the acts performing this weekend at the annual Hard Times Bluegrass Festival, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 27-29. This festival is an affordable, family friendly gathering in a beautiful setting. It's geared toward having good clean fun while celebrating the sounds of traditional bluegrass music.

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, they have booked 11 great bands and five featured pioneers. The festival takes place a few miles south of Hamilton on Forest Hill Road. Just follow the signs.

Admission fees are only $15 for adults for the entire weekend, $7 for kids 12 and under for the weekend. Sunday-only admission just $10. Dry camping available in the trees on a first come first served basis for $15 for the weekend (sorry, no RV hookups).

Food vendors will be on hand and as long as your dog is on a leash that's cool, too. If you'd like more info in advance, just call 406-821-3777.  Here's to great Hard Times, 2018!
