Tough Enough To Wear Pink

On Saturday, May 31, over 100 women gathered for the third annual "Babes N' Bullets" event to raise money for "Tough Enough to Wear Pink" at the Deer Creek Shooting Range.

If you’ve ever seen a western then you know that everyone in the west drinks whiskey, that is unless they’re yellow-bellied. You don’t get much more western than Montana and rodeo. What better way to help raise a little money for a good cause than with a whiskey tasting?  They do realize that not everyone likes whiskey, so they’ll let those of you who don’t, taste wine instead.

I’ve been to my share of rodeos in my lifetime. Rodeos are a Montana tradition. I have friends who barrel race, ride bulls and calf rope. I admire these people. Participating in rodeo  is not easy, but Montanan’s aren’t known for doing things that are easy...

The International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 2457 Missoula Rural Fire Fighters, and the Missoula Rural Fire District will once again be trading our normal blue uniform shirts for pink ones during the entire month of October, in support of cancer awareness month.
