Mt. Sentinel

Meteorologist Corby Nickerson with the National Weather Service Office in Missoula said he was in awe of the powerful winds that swept over western Montana, especially up on Mt. Sentinel.

The University of Montana Police Department and Missoula City fire are requesting that all people stay off the mountain and away from the area.

Drama on Mt. Sentinel on Friday as at least two people were sent to the to the hospital with stab wounds. No names have been released.

Dyer’s woad is an invasive plant found in five Montana locations, one of which is on Missoula’s iconic Mount Sentinel.
