Montana’s mandatory boat inspection sites have been intercepting watercraft with invasive mussels at an alarming rate, according to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks.
The Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks has established dozens of watercraft inspection stations around the state to protect waterways from the spread of invasive mussels.
Glacier National Park has announced that hand-propelled watercraft, such as kayaks, canoes and paddleboards will be permitted in the park with mandatory inspections beginning on May 15.
