Representative Seth Berglee (R) HD 58 reacted on Wednesday after the Montana Board of Regents voted unanimously to seek judicial review over HB 102, the bill he sponsored that allows the carrying of firearms on Montana campuses

The Montana Board of Regents, the appointed body that provides governance and administration of the Montana University System, voted unanimously on Wednesday to seek judicial review over HB 102 that allows students to carry firearms on campus.

House District 58 Representative Republican Seth Berglee recently introduced House Bill 102, which will allow concealed or open carry of firearms in many places where they had been expressly forbidden in the past.

House Bill 240 went before the Senate Education Committee on Monday. The bill, written by Gary Marbut, President of the Montana Shooting Sports Association, would make it legal for any registered gun owner to carry their weapon anywhere on campus.
