A 14 year-old girl from Utah was killed on Monday after falling rocks struck her family’s vehicle while traveling on Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road.
Yet again, Glacier National Park has set new attendance records as visitors flocked to the park during the 100th anniversary of the National park System.
Thursday will mark the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service, and Glacier National Park will be hosting the U.S. Secretary of the Interior, Sally Jewell, along with other dignitaries, for a tour of the park.
After weeks of closure due to the Reynolds Creek Fire, the East side of Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun-Road opened to traffic this morning, Friday, August 7.
Firefighters have been performing new fire prevention tactics on the Reynolds Creek Fire in Glacier National Park in an effort to strengthen fire lines with new "burnout operations."
