A group of puppies and their mom were rescued from a foreclosed home in Ronan about a week ago. Now they're in Missoula at a foster home set up through the Humane society of Western Montana.
Montana Attorney General Tim Fox announced on Friday, December 20, that Ocwen Financial Corporation, of Atlanta, Georgia, and its subsidiary, Ocwen Loan Servicing, have agreed to a $2.1 billion state-federal settlement with Montana, 48 additional states and the District of Columbia, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Recent headlines stated that the Big New York Banks will set aside billions of dollars to settle the federal complaints that banks ‘wrongfully foreclosed’ on homeowners. The heading should read ‘illegally foreclosed’.
