Evacuees Return Home

Hundreds of families were allowed to return home this past weekend in the Lolo Peak and Rice Ridge Fire areas.

On Sunday, Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton announced that hundreds of homes in the path of the Lolo Peak Fire were under evacuation orders, but as of Tuesday, those orders have been reduced to a warning status.

The Lolo Peak Fire is now over 30,000 acres with over 1,100 personnel fighting the fire including 155 members of the Montana National Guard.
