Two thirds of Montana’s Congressional delegation, along with the Lieutenant Governor were all in Missoula on Friday for the groundbreaking ceremony of the David J. Thatcher VA Clinic on West Broadway near the Missoula International Airport.

A Missoula VA clinic was renamed yesterday after the late Sgt. David Thatcher, Missoula's own Doolittle Raider during World War II.

On Thursday morning, politicians, veterans, community and family members crowded into a narrow hallway to rename the Missoula Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic after the late Sergeant David A. Thatcher.

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — One of the last two surviving members of the Doolittle Raiders, who bombed Japan during World War II in retaliation for the attack on Pearl Harbor, has died in Montana.

All Montana is in mourning as one of the last two surviving 'Doolittle Raiders', David Thatcher, passed away in Missoula yesterday. He was 94.
