Detective Sergeant Travis Welsh

One Missoula resident made a quick trip into the Missoula County Jail late Wednesday night. 27-year old Nicholas Stevens was driving down Russell when he was stopped for a traffic violation according to public information officer Travis Welsh.

Missoula Police Chief Mike Brady has appointed Detective Sergeant Travis Welsh as the official Public Information Officer for the police department.

At about 1:30 on Tuesday morning, a Missoula woman walked into the emergency room at St. Patrick Hospital with a gunshot wound to the face.

Four men, three with aluminum baseball bats, attacked and robbed a convenience store on 39th Street in Missoula behind the Village Six Theater early Tuesday morning.
