Air Quality Alert

As happy as Missoulians were to see the rain showers in western Montana, health department officials are saying the smoke problems will persist till further notice.

Smoke is affecting the entire state today, prompting Air Quality Alerts in every county. Large amounts of smoke has pushed in, following the cold front from the north, coupled with the wildfire smoke from western Montana and northwestern US.

A man and woman in Missoula have both been charged with two counts of deliberate homicide after two bodies were found in a local residence. Bail was set at $2 million each.

Authorities in Broadwater County are seeking the death penalty for a man accused in the shooting death of Deputy Mason Moore on May 16.

School starts today in many western Montana communities. School buses, crosswalks and school zones will be crowded, and area law enforcement will be watching closely to make sure drivers are paying attention.
