Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 30, 2025, at approximately 7:52 p.m., a Missoula Police Department officer was dispatched to the Magic Diamond casino on Brooks Street regarding a suspicious vehicle in their parking lot and a request to have individuals removed from the property. The employee reported that the vehicle was parked in their parking lot, and people were coming and going from the vehicle.

Upon arrival, the officer observed a female with pink hair sitting in the driver’s seat, a male crouched down in the vehicle by the open passenger door, and another female walking away from the vehicle and into the casino. The female driver, later identified as 52-year-old Jennifer Hawn, exited the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Another officer observed what appeared to be a piece of tin foil with burn residue just underneath Hawn’s vehicle. Hawn was instructed to turn her vehicle off. When asked about the tin foil, Hawn stated that she had nothing to do with that. Dispatch then advised that Hawn did not have a valid driver’s license.

MPD Officers Search the Vehicle

The officer picked up the tinfoil and observed what appeared to be a partially melted fentanyl pill on one side of it. The officer asked Hawn for consent to search her vehicle, and Hawn stated, “Absolutely.” While searching the property inside the vehicle, the officer confirmed with Hawn that it was all her property. Hawn stated that she had recently moved and was living out of the vehicle.

The officer located several items in Hawn’s bags that appeared to be drug paraphernalia, including a new methamphetamine pipe, a bag of syringes, and a pocket scale. When confronted about the paraphernalia, Hawn stated, “It’s just residuals, I’ve been clean for 19 days.” According to court documents, Hawn stated she did not use fentanyl, just methamphetamine. While speaking with Hawn, the officer noticed that she had pinpoint pupils.

The officer continued her search and located additional paraphernalia, including tooter straws, a tourniquet, clear plastic baggies with white crystal substance inside, and a white pill marked “N8”. Pill identifier identified the pill as buprenorphine hydrochloride.

The Casino Employee Asks for Help

At this point, a casino employee came out and asked the officer to come inside, as employees had located a suspicious bag that Hawn had left at one of the machines when she entered the casino. An officer retrieved the bag, which was placed in Hawn’s property when she was transported to jail. MCDC officers searched Hawn’s property, including the bag, and located additional paraphernalia and two sandwich bags of methamphetamine.

The officer applied for and was granted a search warrant for the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of additional paraphernalia, including scales with residue and additional syringes. One of the syringes was loaded with approximately 35 units of a clear substance. The loaded syringe was sent to the crime lab for further analysis.

Hawn is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
