Today the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction is holding its first hearing in Washington D.C. The committee will hear testimony from the Director of the Congressional Budget Office Dr. Douglas Elmendorf. Montana Senator Max Baucus who is one of the 12 members of the committee is asking Montanans for their ideas for reducing the debt. You can view the hearing and submit your ideas at www.baucus.senate.gov  The committee has until November 23rd to produce a plan to reduce up to $1.5 trillion dollars in debt.
