Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - Missoula Police have had repeated and frequent contact with 38-year-old Thomas Scull since September of 2024. On September 26, Scull was charged with obstructing and disorderly conduct. On October 18, Scull was charged with theft from Yokes. According to court documents, Scull was violent and uncooperative during the arrest. He was charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Scull already had two prior convictions for theft.  

On November 18, Scull was charged with theft and trespass for stealing items from Walmart where he had been previously trespassed. On November 24, Scull was charged with theft from the Orange Street Food Farm. Each of these offenses is pending in the Missoula Municipal Court. 

On October 24, Scull was arrested for burglary at Yokes after stealing merchandise. At that time, the Missoula County Attorney’s office deferred filing charges to monitor the severity of his ongoing behavior. By October 24, Scull had been trespassed from Yokes on numerous occasions and was told that he could not return to the store. This offense is now being charged.  

On October 24, Scull was observed by an employee stealing food items and eating them in the store without paying. He was first asked to leave the store by a manager. However, Scull refused to leave the property and Yokes called law enforcement.  

On November 29, Scull was reported by Yokes when he was stealing food items and consuming them in a back room in the store without paying. This area is for employees only. Yokes advised that a week prior, Scull was caught in the same back room also consuming food.

Officers contacted Scull at Yokes and he was Mirandized. Scull admitted to eating food that he did not purchase and confirmed that he knew he was trespassed from the store. This is at least the fourth time Scull did that same thing at the same store in a 5-week span. 

Scull was placed under arrest at was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility. He is currently being charged with two counts of felony burglary. His bond was set at $500.
