With just hours before the deadline, only one person outside the School District One Board of Trustees has filed to run for an open seat. Leslie Brasfield, public information officer with the school district talks about the seats available, and why there are so few applicants.

Brasfield says there is still time to declare your intent to run for the school board. By the way, the school board is an unpaid position.
