Rights Read to Florence Man Accused of Sex Crimes Against Underage Girls
The arraignment of a 19-year-old Florence man accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls at Florence High School more than two years ago has been continued until next week.
NBC Montana reports District Court Judge James Haynes read Bryce Crete Cobbs his rights Thursday. Charges against Cobbs have been filed, and bail was posted at $25,000, but Cobbs has not yet entered a plea.
The case was filed directly into District Court.
The accusations stem from alleged incidents that occurred when Cobbs was a 16-year-old Florence High School student. A lawyer said Cobbs is working to retain a private attorney.
He is accused of several felonies, including charges of sexual intercourse without consent, sexual abuse of children, tampering with evidence and tampering with witnesses.
