Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - Former U.S. Secret Service Agent and conservative commentator Dan Bongino has recently been appointed Deputy Director of the FBI by President Donald Trump.

For all you loyal Newstalk KGVO listeners, the final broadcast of the Dan Bongino show will be on Friday, March 14.

Management at KGVO Radio provided the following statement:

“We are actively exploring options for a replacement program and have several strong candidates under consideration. We will keep you updated as new information becomes available.”

Looking back, after the death of legendary broadcaster Rush Limbaugh, who was a KGVO listener favorite for many years, the Dan Bongino Show was chosen by popular demand to take the 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. slot.

According to the Associated Press, President Donald Trump announced the appointment on Sunday night in a post on his Truth Social platform, praising Bongino as ‘a man of incredible love and passion for our country.’ He called the announcement ‘great news for law enforcement and justice’.

According to a CNN report, Trump touted Bongino as a patriot with “incredible love and passion for our Country” and highlighted his extensive background in law enforcement. He also noted that Bongino “is willing and prepared to give up” his popular daily radio show and podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” “in order to serve.
