Co-sponsored by the AFL-CIO and Move-On.org, a gathering in Caras Park Saturday morning brought together an amalgam of differing ages, backgrounds and political philosophies..all with one overarching purpose..to protest the American Corporate system. Young facilitators with a small bullhorn invited anyone to step forward and make a statement, then the process of developing an agenda began. I spoke with one woman named Sherry, and asked her why she was at the protest. That interview is attached.

There were about 50 people at the gathering when I left at about 11:30 am. The protest was carried out in conjunction with others around the state and the country, similar to protests still underway on Wall Street in New York City.
