Pine beetles are killing trees all over Montana and recent studies show that the trees they infect are also more catch fire. Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor Julie King recently spoke with KGVO News about the steps the Forest Service is taking to deal with the problem.

Compared to other forests in the region, the Bitterroot is said to be in a pre-epidemic state of infestation.
