Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On September 8, 2025, at 10:50 p.m., the Missoula Police Department reported that a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred a few hours earlier. Police Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett has the details. 

“Just before 8:30 p.m. this evening, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to the 800 block of West Broadway for a serious bodily injury crash involving a pedestrian and a vehicle,” Bennett said. “The collision involved a 26-year-old female driver and a 40-year-old female pedestrian, who was struck in the roadway.” 

Bennett said the Missoula Police Department recognizes that incidents like this are tragic for all involved, and their thoughts are with those affected.

“The first arriving patrol officer observed visible injury to the pedestrian’s head,” Bennett said. “She was stable at the scene and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further medical care. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.” 

A MEANS alert was issued while investigators processed the scene, temporarily closing the roadway.

“The roadway has since been reopened to traffic,” Bennett said. “No arrests have been made at this time, and the incident remains under investigation with the involvement of the Missoula Police Department’s Accident Investigators.”
