It's not just students who are incurring massive amounts of debt for school loans anymore. Parents are taking out what are called 'PLUS' loans to help their children cover the ever-increasing costs of higher education. I spoke with Director of Financial Aid at the University of Montana Kent McGowan about the issue on Thursday. That interview is attached.

McGowan says the average 4-year student graduates with over $24,000 in debt from UM. The amount is much higher at private colleges and Universities.
