UPDATE: Two Bodies Recovered From Swan Lake Identified
UPDATE: 11:01 a.m. - April 19, 2022
Lake County Sheriff-Coroner Don Bell provided the following statment:
"The victims of the kayak accident on Swan Lake on 04-14-2022, at about 4:30 pm, are Mckenzye Joyce Fabeck 19 and Nate Robert Spoklie 18 both from Flathead County. The Lake County Sheriff's Office wish to extend our condolences to the families and friends. Lake County Sheriff Don Bell wants to thank the Swan Mission Search and Rescue team, Sheriff Heino, Flathead County Sheriff Office search and rescue team, and the Lake County Search and rescue team for servings the citizen’s with five days of long hours that went into this search."

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell said the male victim was recovered on Monday morning. The female victim was recovered on Sunday. Both bodies have been sent to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula.

KGVO News spoke with Lake County Sheriff Don Bell early Monday morning about the search for two missing teens whose kayak overturned in stormy weather on Thursday.
Sheriff Bell called the KGVO Newsmakers line with this statement:
‘The body of the missing female was recovered from Swan Lake from about 86 feet of water,” began Sheriff Bell. “With help from a Flathead County Sheriff’s boat and their divers and the Swan/Mission Search and Rescue boat crew along with Flathead County Sheriff’s deputies.”
‘The search for the missing male is still ongoing and is underway this morning by all three Search and Rescue teams.’
