An investigation into a sexual assault case in Hamilton has led to the suspension of two Anaconda high school basketball players. According to Hamilton Police Chief Ryan Oster, the investigation into the incident is still underway.

"The incident is under investigation so there is very little that we can release at this point," said Oster. "I can confirm that our office responded to a report of a sexual assault on Friday the 17th of February. All the folks who are alleged to be involved in this incident are juveniles."

Oster said that rumors about an arrest in the case are false.

"At this point we are in the process of conducting an investigation," Oster said. "There have been no arrests made and no charges filled at this point. I know that there has been information circulated out in certain communities that there has been some arrests made, but that is not the case."

To protect the investigation and the identities of those involved, other details about the case, including the nature of the assault have not been released.
