Nearly a Dozen Separate Charges… And Then They Found Meth
Over the weekend, a Missoula Police officer noticed 32-year-old Justina Maier, who had had prior run-ins with the law. The officer was initially following up on a warrant, but Maier ended up facing nearly a dozen separate charges according to Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh.
"It happened on Saturday evening about 6:30 when an officer recognized a female that he had had prior contact with in the 1200 block of West Broadway. He learned that she had outstanding warrants for her arrest and he did initiate contact with her. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Missoula County Jail where upon a search incident to arrest it was discovered that she had what appears to be methamphetamine on her person.
The meth led to a felony charge, but Maier is also facing four traffic charges on top of four misdemeanors including a charge of theft.
