National Carousel Day is July 25th
Did you know that July 25 is National Carousel Day? Don’t feel bad if you didn’t. It’s new for me too. But, don’t you think it’s a great excuse to get out and enjoy one of Missoula’s best attractions, a Carousel for Missoula?
What could be better than a ride on one of Missoula’s ponies. If you are a kid, there’s nothing quite like picking just the right pony for that special ride. And the great thing is that you can pick a different pony each time because there are so many to choose from.
If you’re a big kid or an adult, the best part of the carousel is how it makes you feel like a little kid again. My favorite part of riding the carousel is climbing on an outside horse so I can scoop a ring out of the dragon’s mouth who is perched above the carousel. The person who grabs the lucky gold ring from its mouth, I wins a free ride and gets to do it all over again.
It doesn’t matter what your age, it is hard not to stand in awe and childlike wonder when you look at the carousel all lit up. There aren’t too many things out there that you can enjoy with your kids quite like a carousel ride.
Even if you don’t have kids, don’t be shy. There is also not a whole lot else you can do that is more romantic than a ride on the carousel with your sweetie. If you want to show your lady that you’re a sensitive guy, and still a kid at heart, then this is the place for you.
No matter what your age, you can enjoy a pony ride at A Carousel for Missoula! The carousel is open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. from June through August and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from September through May.
