Murder Suspect Dead After Altercation With Missoula Police
A murder suspect is dead after an altercation with Missoula police in the Rattlesnake area late Tuesday night.
Officers had been watching the home to help state investigators. The unidentified man was a suspect in the death of a woman in Jefferson City on Sunday.
Officers said they had word that the 33 year-old suspect may have had explosives.
Late Tuesday night, police attempted to arrest the man in the 3600 block of Rattlesnake Drive, and that is when the suspect shot himself.
The explosive ordinance team was called in to sweep the property for explosives but none were found.
Rattlesnake Drive was reduced to single lane traffic while the investigation was ongoing.
