BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Montana State guard Katie Bussey has been invited to play on a U.S. all-star team that will play nine games in China, beginning later this month.

The senior from Alamosa, Colo., is one of 11 players on the team sponsored by the United States Basketball Academy. They will play three games in each of three cities against junior national teams from China, Australia and New Zealand between April 25 and May 9.

Coach Chris Denker says the players will gain valuable international experience and will be seen by officials with the Women's China Basketball Association and scouts from Australia.

Bussey ended her career at MSU as the all-time Big Sky Conference leader with 254 made 3-pointers. She set a school record and tied a league record with 41 points against Idaho State.

Other U.S. team members include Katelin Redmon of Gonzaga, Rebekah Gardner of UCLA and Jasmin Holliday of Oregon.
