MPD Arrest Woman for Assault With a Weapon and Partner Assault
At around 1:30 Wednesday morning, Missoula police officers responded to the report of a disturbance at a residence on Patricia Street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“When they arrived, they made contact with a male who reported that his girlfriend became upset as they were looking at text messages in each other’s cell phones,” Welsh said. “The woman was reported to have started yelling at him and throwing items at him. At one point, she broke a ceramic pot and used one of the shards of it to slash at him, eventually causing a laceration to one of his thumbs.”
According to Welsh, the woman left the scene and was later located by officers. Officers identified the woman as 29-year-old Jessica Olsen and placed her under arrest. She was transported to the Missoula County Jail where she is currently being held for felony assault with a weapon and partner or family member assault.
