Montana Now Has Access to Coronavirus Test Kits
The more we've been hearing about Coronavirus (or COVID-19), the scarier it all seems. And as more and more people across the country get infected, some say it's only a matter of time until it hits Montana.
When it does, it looks like it'll be a much quicker process to figure out if someone has it or not than it might have been. The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services now has access to Coronavirus test kits that can be completed right here in Montana.
Before, the DPHHS had to send samples to the CDC in Atlanta, Georgia in order to see if somebody came back positive for the virus. Now, because there's less wait time, patients will get their results much faster.
As of this morning, nine people in Montana were being monitored for Coronavirus, but no positive cases have been reported.
