The National Weather Service is predicting cooler temperatures and heavy rains that could cause flash flooding in the Missoula area this weekend.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell reported two major incidents that occurred within one hour of each other. One included a deputy that was badly burned while assisting a motorist.

The newly remodeled Commercial Building at the Western Montana Fair was the site of a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring local and state officials and 4-h kids who cut the ribbon.

Sunshine and smoke in western Montana valleys today and tomorrow, with highs in the mid 90's.
