Montana Gets Set to Face Indiana State for the First Time Ever
On Saturday, our University of Montana Grizzlies will play their first road game of the season against the Indiana State Sycamores of the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Kickoff from Memorial Stadium in Terre Haute is set for 11 a.m. Mountain time and this is the first time these two teams have ever played each other.
The Griz are 2-0 on the season after beating South Dakota last week 24-7. The Griz have outscored their first two opponents by a combined total of 71-7. Linebacker and Buchanan Award candidate Patrick O'Connell was named the player of the game last week with 10 tackles, a sack-and-a-half, and two tackles for loss. He was also nominated for Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week. Montana is also currently ranked No. 2 in the AFCA coaches poll and No. 3 in the Stats Perform media poll.
The Sycamores are 1-1 to start the year. They won their first game of the season in overtime against North Alabama, but just lost 56-0 to Purdue from the Big 10.

This is the non-conference finale for both teams. The Griz start conference play with their homecoming game against Portland State next Saturday, but they can't look too far ahead if they want to win an FCS championship.
How to Watch and Listen
The ESPN+ streaming service will be the only place to watch Montana take on Indiana State this week, with no TV, cable, or satellite services carrying the game.
