The Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is offering a hands-on experience for hunters in the area looking to up their game this hunting season according to Program Manager Vivaca Crowser.

"We're offering a workshop geared around learning how to field dress and then process your meat  if that's the next step you want to take," Crowser said. "So we're actually going to be doing some hands-on demonstrations and folks are welcome to come. It should last two or three hours and there's no cost."

The Workshop is part of a series of classes that will continue through December called ‘Plan to Hunt’.

"Its actually part of a larger series of workshops that we've been trying out this year here in the Missoula area," Crowser said. "It's aimed at folks that are that new to hunting or new to hunting in Montana or just need some extra training in certain aspects of the hunt. We're kinda midway through our workshop series and this is the focus of the upcoming one and we have a few more between now and hunting season."

The workshop is free and will be held Tuesday, August 23rd at the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Office in Missoula.
