Montana Department of Revenue seeks volunteers to provide training to liquor establishments
The Department of Revenue is looking for volunteers for its alcohol education program ‘Let’s Control It.’ Alcohol Education Coordinator Lisa Scates has details.
“We rely on volunteer trainers to teach this program across the state and their responsibilities include organizing their own classes, send out all their own advertising, and teach the class,” said Scates. “Once they teach the class, they will send us the exam answer sheets and sign in sheets and we process those and put them into our system.”
Scates says they are still in need of volunteers.
“We currently have 200 trainers that teach across the state but we definitely need more,” Scates said. “We don’t have a limit on how many applications we will take. There are some requirements for qualification. Once they send in their application, if they are approved, they need to go to one of the train the trainer sessions to actually become certified.”
Interested individuals can find the application and the trainer criteria, online at AlcoholServerTraining.mt.gov or they can call (406) 444-4307.
