Missoula Woman Arrested After High Speed Chase on Higgins
A Missoula woman was arrested Saturday after police said she led them on a high speed chase.
"At approximately 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, a Missoula police officer who had been investigating a felony check forgery incident located the suspect vehicle in the Pattee Creek Market parking lot," Missoula Police Department spokesperson Jerry Odlin said. "He waited by the vehicle until the occupants returned and then he stopped the vehicle to make contact with the suspects. The vehicle stopped initially and when the officer exited the car, the suspects then fled in the vehicle."
Odlin said a pursuit ensued from Pattee Creek Market, but later ended in the Missoula Federal Credit Union parking lot off of Brooks Street.
"The driver then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee, a very short foot pursuit ensued, where the driver was then appended," Odlin said. "36-year-old Missoula county resident Nicol Anthon was charged with three counts of felony criminal endangerment, one count of felony forgery, one count of fleeing or alluding from police officers, one count of obstructing a police officer, one count of felony possession of dangerous drugs and two probation violation charges."
No injuries were reported.
