Missoula Man Arrested After Road Rage With A Knife
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On the evening of June 8, 2026, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to a reported incident in the area of 3035 Expo Parkway. An officer arrived at approximately 8:24 p.m. and spoke with the reporting party, an adult male, John Doe. The officer spoke with Doe who stated that a male, identified as David Morris, encouraged Doe to rev his engine as Doe was driving past. Doe did so, but then noticed that Morris was yelling at him and flipping him off.
Doe was confused and circled back to pull up beside Morris's vehicle, which was parked by the side of the road. Doe stayed in his vehicle and asked Morris what the issue was. Morris became confrontational and asked Doe if he was an ICE supporter and said something to the effect of "leave my Country."
Doe continued trying to talk things out, but Morris returned to the passenger seat of his vehicle and retrieved a knife from the center console. Doe stated that it was a black knife with an approximately 3" blade. Morris extended the blade and held it up in Doe's direction. Doe showed the officer a photo of Morris holding up the knife in the camera's direction.

Doe clarified that Morris had approached the open passenger side window and was continuing to make threatening statements and telling Doe to leave the Country. Doe placed his hand on his concealed carry firearm as he felt he may need to defend himself. Morris walked around the backside of Doe's vehicle and began approaching the driver's side window, at which point Doe drove away.
On the same evening, another officer responded to a report that a male matching Morris's description had made threatening statements towards a family out for a walk, telling them to "watch their backs." An officer located Morris in the area of the described incidents.
Morris spoke with the officer. Morris said he showed Doe his knife in self-defense. When asked how he had been threatened, Morris stated that Doe had said that Morris looked weak and alone in his car. Morris added that Doe was "insane" and the Morris didn't "even know if he's [Doe] from this country." Officers retrieved a black knife from the center console of Morris's vehicle during the investigation.
