Winter and snow flurries may leave most golf courses unused, but that's not how we do things in Montana.

The Ranch Club is sponsoring a unique 24-team pond hockey tournament this month and all of the action will take place on golf course's water hazards!

The contest is set to begin on Saturday January 26 and will run between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The final bouts will be played on Sunday, January 27 between 6 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The event is free for spectators and is open to the public. Team entries, which are typically $330 are only $300 as long as they are completed before the end of Friday, January 11.

To enter, contact Townsquare Media live events coordinator Ray Davis at (406) 523-9803. Or go here to fill out a registration form.

Each team will get a goodie bag complete with six practice jerseys as well as a shot at winning the first ever Missoula Pond Hockey Tournament.
