Missoula Police Investigate 'Suspicious' Death

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On July 8, 2025, at 3:35 PM, the Missoula Police Department reported that a deceased male was found inside a home. Police Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett has the details.

“Just after 12:30 p.m. today, officers with the Missoula Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive male inside a residence in the 500 block of South 5th Street East,” Bennett said. “Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the male was deceased. Missoula Police Department Detectives are currently on scene, and an investigation is underway regarding the death, which is being treated as suspicious at this time.”

According to Bennett, the deceased individual has been identified as a 48-year-old male.

“His body has been transported to the Montana State Crime Lab for further examination,” Bennett said. “This is an active investigation, and no additional details are being released at this time. Updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.”
