The Missoula Police Department has been investigating multiple reports over the past couple month about vehicle break ins that occurred in and around the parking lots near Sentinel High School. Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says police need help from the community to discover who is responsible for these crimes.

“We have managed to obtain some surveillance photos from a grocery store in the vicinity where a credit card stolen from one of these cases was used,” said Welsh. “We are looking for the public’s help in identifying and hopefully locating this individual who is depicted in these photographs.”

According to Welsh, the suspect is described as a white male between 20 and 25 years of age with a thin build.

“He is about 5’7” to 5’9” tall and wears a tan coat with snaps on the front,” Welsh said. “He has been seen with a blue hoodie underneath. In the photographs that we have available he is wearing a dark colored baseball cap, the cap appears to have some sort of design on it. He looks to be clean shaven with short brown hair. He is wearing tennis shoes that are dark in color with a white or light color sole.”

Anyone that might know this man or recognizes his clothing is asked to call Officer Monaco at (406)-721-2400 ext. 7611. You can also email him at mdmonaco@mcps.k12.mt.us. Welsh says there are three cases where they were able to obtain surveillance video and he believes the same individual is involved in all three. More photos of the suspect can be found at the City of Missoula Police Department Facebook page.
