Missoula police were attacked multiple times over the weekend. Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says the first attack occurred when police came by to arrest a man on an outstanding warrant.

"Sunday afternoon, just after 1 p.m., officers responded to a location in the 2200 Block of North Reserve Street for a male that was reported to be meeting with a healthcare professional," says Welsh, "however, he also had $50,000 warrant for his arrest."

When police went to arrest the man, he reportedly lashed out.

"The officers responded, made contact with the male, who resisted arrest, kicked one officer and grabbed the rest of another office causing pain. He is identified as 29-year-old Gregory Barber he was taken into custody and is currently being held  on charges ranging from Assaulting a Peace Officer to Disorderly Conduct."

That $50,000 warrant has now more than doubled and Barber is facing felony charges from the assault, he has failed to appear in court numerous times and has been arrested in the past for Aggravated DUI.
