Missoula Police Nab Man For Aggravated Assault, Driver Charged With DUI
At about 11:30 Wednesday night, Missoula Police received a call that an assault took place at a business in the 1600 block of Wyoming Street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says officers responded and found an unconscious adult male in the parking lot.
“Other persons around were attempting to tend to him,” Welsh said. “A couple of them were identified as witnesses and they said two males that were responsible for the assault had gotten into a vehicle and left the scene. They were able to provide the officers with a license plate. The victim male was quickly loaded into an ambulance and transported to the hospital.”
According to Welsh, officers went to the address that was registered to the vehicle the witnesses described. Officers located the vehicle and it was occupied by two males.
“One of them was identified as 30-year-old Nicholas Young,” Welsh said. “Young was subsequently arrested for assaulting the male victim. The driver of his vehicle was also arrested for driving while intoxicated. He is identified as 33-year-old Jordan Buyce.”
Welsh says it is unclear what the victim’s injuries were at the time of the transport, but the victim did suffer significant injuries and was admitted to the hospital immediately. The assault case is still under investigation.
