Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On November 27, 2024, a Missoula Police Department Officer responded to the 200 block of Helena Ct. to assist the US Marshals in the arrest of Sierra Gehring on a probation warrant. When the officer arrived, he was asked to conduct a search incident to arrest and he located various drug paraphernalia items and a knife. Gehring was placed under arrest and was then transported to the Missoula County Detention Center.

Gehring was originally cited for possessing syringes, a tooter straw, and a tourniquet, which are all items the officer recognized as being used to process, prepare, inhale, ingest, or otherwise introduce dangerous drugs into the body.

Sometime later, the officer was requested to meet with a probation officer who had conducted a probation search of Gehring’s vehicle. According to court documents, the probation officer had located approximately 130 unused needles, cotton balls, a metal tooter straw, three plastic straws, a digital scale, fentanyl test strips, two glass pipes, 13 pieces of used/burnt tinfoil, 15 saline tubes, a box of alcohol prep pads, two tourniquets, and a suppository device.

Additionally, the probation officer located a syringe with a clear/pink liquid totaling approximately 12 cc of liquid. The liquid was later tested by the officer using the TruNarc, which provided a presumptive positive for amphetamines.
