Missoula Police are searching for a suspect in a mysterious stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning, March 13.

"We had a report at about 3:23 a.m. of a male who arrived at a local hospital with a stab wound to his chest and some kind of wound on his left forearm," Welsh said. "He stated that he was approached by a suspect that demanded money from him before stabbing him. He didn't know where he was stabbed, or at what time, but thought that it was somewhere in the downtown area."

With so little information to go on, the police are asking the public for help.

"We are looking for anyone who might have information about that, that might help clear up some of the questions we have about the details of the incident," Welsh said. "We ask them to call detective Mitch Lang."

Those who wish to remain anonymous can also call Crimestoppers at 721-4444 with information.
