Missoula Police Help U.S. Marshals Arrest Wanted Man

Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On April 4, 2024, at approximately 1:13 PM, a United States Marshals Service Officer requested that Missoula Police Department Officers respond to the Albertsons on North Reserve Street to arrest 29-year-old Andrew Filicetti who had an active felony arrest warrant.

An officer advised that he had visual contact of Filicetti outside of the grocery store. Officers arrived on the scene and arrested Filicetti, placing him in a patrol car for transport without issue.

A corporal seized a backpack that was in Filicetti’s possession at the time of his arrest as well as a reusable grocery bag. An officer transported Filicetti to the Missoula County Detention Facility where he was remanded to jail staff.

The officer confirmed that the jail was not currently accepting storage for backpacks from inmates, so the officer returned to the Missoula Police Department with Filicetti’s backpack.

The officer conducted a cursory inventory search of Filicetti’s backpack pursuant to the Missoula Police Department Standard Operating Procedure in order to ensure the safety of the owner's property, the building, employees, and other property.

The officer turned on their Axon body-worn camera and opened the large zipper pocket of the backpack where they located a blue and white hooded winter jacket with a floral pattern. Inside one of the pockets of the jacket, the officer discovered a small Ziploc-style baggie containing methamphetamine.

Additionally, the officer located several items of what they concluded to be drug paraphernalia like tooter straws that drug users typically use to inhale illicit substances and both used and unused drug baggies, foil, saline, and a used hypodermic needle.

Filicetti is currently being charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. On April 8, Filicetti made his initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and his bond was set at $25,000.
